Revenge of the Mummy – We loved it so much we rode it at lease 10 times (maybe more, LOL)!

We also really enjoyed the Universal Parade—great music, characters, and energy that added even more magic to the day.
💦 Volcano Bay: The Coolest Way to Beat the Heat
We didn’t make it here this trip but a visit to Volcano Bay is always the perfect way to balance the thrill rides with some refreshing fun that cools you down. With lazy rivers, big slides, and the innovative TapuTapu wristband system to manage wait times, you’ll have more time to enjoy the water and less time standing in line.
🍕 Foodie Moments: The Hits (and Misses)
We made sure to squeeze in some great eats in between all the fun:
🍕 Marco’s Pizza
We ordered a cheese pizza with extra cheese topped with cheddar cheese—and it was absolutely the best pizza of the weekend. Simple, cheesy, perfect.
🌴 Rainforest Cafe
The immersive jungle-themed atmosphere was fun for the kids, but the food options weren’t our favorite. Still, it’s a unique experience if you haven’t been before.
🍰 The Cheesecake Factory
A must-stop for me! I indulged in my go-to Banana Cream Cheesecake (still my favorite), and tried the Caramel Pecan Turtle Cheesecake with an extra side of hot caramel—delicious, but not quite a regular rotation pick.
🛍️ Souvenirs & Sweet Memories
We carved out some time for souvenir shopping, giving our grandson the chance to pick something special for his mom. Watching him browse and choose with care was such a sweet moment, and one of the highlight’s of the trip.

From thrilling rides to simple joys like pizza and parades, our weekend in Orlando was everything a birthday celebration should be—fun, lighthearted, and filled with laughter. The birthday boy had a blast, and so did we (two big kids at heart!).
